Prior to the closing of your new home or condominium purchase,
a New Home Orientation will be conducted with you.
During the orientation, you will inspect your new home with our Rasband Homes Customer Care Associate in order to
assure that the standards of workmanship and materials meets all local building codes and the guidelines stated
in the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines 3rd Edition published by the National Association of
Home Builders.
At this same time, we will also confirm with you that the level of workmanship and quality of construction meets
and is comparable to our model home at your community, and our specification document, by thoroughly inspecting
the entire home in your presence. In the homebuilding industry, another term often used for this process is the
"walk-through."
Our Associate will also describe your home maintenance obligations, how to operate and care for the various systems
and appliances within your home, our Limited Warranty program, and provide you with your Rasband Homes Owner's Manual.
Many of the manufacturers of the appliances, systems and components used in your new home or condominium will provide
their own warranties. This manufacturer warranty information will be provided to you at this time.
Our goal is to provide you with a thorough understanding of the complexities of your new home, what your maintenance
obligations will be, how to process a warranty request, what to do in the event of an emergency, and to answer all
of your questions...all prior to your first day in your new home. |

After your closing, our warranty team will administer the warranty on your new home. Certain items in your new home
are defined as warrantable and other items are homeowner maintenance items. Our Limited Warranty Agreement is further
supported by the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines 3rd Edition published by the National Association of
Home Builders which precisely defines measurable benchmarks that deal with your expectations of
the standards of performance.
During the one-year Limited Warranty Agreement term, Rasband Homes warrants that the home will be free from most all
defects in materials and workmanship. We will repair, replace, or pay for at our option any latent defects as set
forth in the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines 3rd Edition published by the National Association of Home
Builders. If your new home is a condominium, please review and refer to the Limited Warranty section within the Public
Offering Statement.
You may obtain a copy of both the Limited Warranty Agreement and the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines 3rd
Edition published by the National Association of Home Builders by visiting any of the model home information centers at
our communities. |
